The Frida Bike

The Frida Bike is a video directed by John Raymond Mireles about motorcycle rider and builder Katie Loftus. The video seeks to inspire and help change the cultural dialogue regarding women. Within motorcycling (and other sports), there’s a prevailing attitude that women are less capable than their mail counterparts. By providing alternative stories such as presented here, Mireles seeks to add weight to a equality driven narrative and create an environment that is more welcoming to all. The film has been exhibited at the Ride to the Warehouse art festival in San Diego and is an official selection of the South Jersey Moto Film Festival.
