In 2020, the city of San Diego set out to collect work from some of the leading contemporary artists living and working in San Diego. Through their curatorial process, two of my 4’x5’ portraits from my Neighbors Project were selected. One was taken of a dancer in full Native American dress preparing for the Chicano Park Day celebration of 2019. The other was one of the first portaits that I shot for the Neighbors Project. Actually one of my favorits of all time.
I forgot to shoot stills at the opening so all I got was this video clip. The work itself will be permanently exhibited at a city facility available to the public.
